YBS is looking for an experienced **Privacy & Data Management Consultant**. Working as part of a small team, you will play an active role in transforming our Data Protection capabilities and operations through the implementation of our data protection framework. You’ll support a wide range of stakeholders within the business in achieving compliance with Data Protection regulation and best practice data management across the Information Lifecycle. This is a hybrid role with remote working, but some onsite presence in our Leeds office will be required on an adhoc basis.

**About the role**

As **Privacy & Data Management Consultant**, you’ll have the opportunity to
- Advise the business on management of Individual Rights requests
- Be responsible for supporting the business in developing processes to achieve and maintain relevant and appropriate data protection regulations
- Using the OneTrust Privacy tool you’ll support the business in completing appropriate risk assessments including DPIA’s and LIA’s
- Support the design and delivery of training and awareness on Data Protection policy and procedures
- Be responsible for the collation of management information to allow regular Data Privacy performance reporting to appropriate committees
- Work collaboratively with the Data Protection Office to ensure YBS approaches are fit for purpose and support compliance with Data Protection Regulation

**About you**

You’ll have a good level of knowledge in GDPR, Data Protection 2018 and PECR having worked previously in a Data Protection role or environment. What will you bring to the role?
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed to build and effectively manage stakeholder relationships
- A good understanding of the business, privacy, security, and compliance challenges surrounding Data Protection, including being able to research and comprehend data privacy requirements
- Ability to work with autonomy and make decisions
- Awareness of emerging technologies in the Data Protection space
- _ Desirable skills include_ - some experience of the OneTrust Privacy Tool and a recognised Data Protection Qualification, such as CIPP/E CIPM P.dp, although this is not essential
