Our Buying and Merchandising specialist plays a key role in providing real reasons for customers to shop with us. By delivering competitive ranges featuring the best brands and products we are able to offer our community the best possible range which provides value and convenience.

Shared responsibility for ordering chill and ambient stock on a daily/weekly basis in accordance with plan-o-grams aiming to achieve full availability at all times
- To plan all elements of promotional activity on a 3 weekly cycle as set by Nisa. To ensure a good mix of promotional items to cater for the demographic of the store that achieve results.
- To develop an ever evolving product range that changes with trends, seasons, events and customer needs.
- Maintain stock levels within the stores budget.
- Protect stock against loss or damage through mishandling, short deliveries by suppliers, theft or fraud by employees and or members of the public. To ensure that all team members are abiding to the checking off and claims procedures.
- Manage stock in terms of dates and codes to ensure that we manage the stock within the law.
- Identify potential slow moving stock which may give us a stock problem in terms of loss or write off and put together a suitable action plan to mitigate that loss or write off. To put plans in place to remove, replace and review performance of SKUs.
- To implement effective merchandising in accordance to the company policy whilst making sure all displays are well stocked, attractive, priced clearly and correctly in a safe and hygienic manner.
- To plan and implement event based merchandising during key event periods.
- To adhere to full stock management, performing periodic stock checks to be completed and accurate at the financial year end.
