**Job Purpose**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Waiting List Team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The post holder will provide support to the Clinical Service Manager/Lead Clinician/ Waiting List Manager to effectively manage and take an active role in the continual development of inpatient and outpatient Waiting List Administration for Urology across the GG&C, ensuring that capacity is fully utilised across the services.

The post holder should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update databases/spreadsheet (excel/pivot tables knowledge and Sharepoint).

**Scope and Range**

Key Duties
- Responsible for the management of all waiting lists within Urology and ensures accuracy and completeness of these through the appropriate staff.
- Responsible for ensuring arrangements are in place to achieve the waiting list targets for sphere of influence within NHS GG&C as agreed with the Scottish Government and as committed to in the National Plan. Manage the flow of patients across various sites and services if required in order to maintain waiting time guarantees and address capacity shortfalls.
- Good Knowledge/Understanding of clinical systems - Trakcare/Portal/Opera/Waiting List-Theatre Dashboards

The post holder is responsible for prioritising and scheduling their own workload to ensure compliance with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and Scottish Government targets. The post holder is required to assist in organising and prioritising the Consultant(s) administrative workload to aid effective forward planning e.g. notification of cancelled/reduced clinical sessions due to annual leave/study leave; thereby ensuring efficient use of resources. The post holder must be aware of their level of responsibility and actions and as such take ownership of their post. The post holder must ensure that they undertake all statutory/mandatory training and, in conjunction with the Line Manager, develop their training as required by their own objectives and those of the service.

The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 0830-1630
