An exciting position has arisen within the Environment Division in the Facilities Team for a full time Facilities Assurance Officer - Band 4, for a fixed term of 12 months based at Watford Hospital. This is a key role within the Facilities Department

The Facilities Assurance Officer is a member of the Facilities Team who monitors the soft facilities across the Trust as required.

The role is for 37.5 hours a week over a 7 day week and some weekend work would be required

This role will monitor the Trusts Soft FM services Trust wide to ensure that the Trust’s contractors performance indicators are met, and effectively measure this performance against the Trusts objectives.

The role also ensures that the Trust’s facilities Contract and in-house team comply with the quality and standards as detailed within the Specification, policies and Standard Operating procedures and meet the specified service outcomes.

This role will audit Catering, Linen & Laundry, Pest Control, Domestic, Waste and other services Trust wide to ensure that the Trust’s contract services performance indicators are met, and effectively measure this performance against the Trusts objectives.

To attend various audits jointly with the contractor and validation audits. To take part in the annual PLACE assessments, and to provide an Administrative and Clerical Support to the Facilities Department as required.

The post holder will need to be conscientious, meticulous and at all times act in a professional and confidential manner.

This post calls for a highly motivated individual who is able to work unsupervised, using their own initiative, prioritising their own workload, dealing with a number of complex issues at one time and working under pressure.

Responsible for performance information within the soft FM

Responsible for ensuring close liaison and interfacing with the ‘internal client’ clinicians so all aspects of the facilities function within the sites managed achieve the clinical requirements and enhance the patient’s wellbeing and recovery.

Responsible for ensuring that the sites managed perform well against CQC and PLACE requirements.

Key relationships will be Head of Facilities, Facilities Operations Managers, Senior Managers within the Trust, Medical Staff, external bodies and agencies, Estates Department, Trust and external service providers
