**Senior Product Manager / Senior Digital Product Manager / Product Manager**
- Designs and develops Technology /Digital /Software products based on maximising customer value, with prioritized features and corresponding justifications whilst minimising development and service costs. Understands current business capacity to deliver,including opportunities to reuse and exploit existing and underused capabilities. Ensures fit with the existing portfolio.
- Understands company's own strategy and planning processes. Defines the product strategy and roadmap by specifying market requirements for current and future products.
- Initiates action, by systems development staff or software suppliers, on the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfil user requirements.
- Works closely with system developers, and with other service-related functions, to ensure that services are designed in such a way as to optimise the cost / performance (availability) equation, and to optimise availability of services during major outagesituations.
- Builds robust high-level plans for successful product launch. Ensures optimum use of resources to gain the required impact and buying influence.
- Updates and evolves the product roadmap as required with the necessary stakeholder support.
- Develops and manages defined communication channel(s) and/or stakeholder groups, proactively seeking to identify potential demand, and assisting in the creation of the business case. Builds long-term internal and /or external strategic relationships withkey staff in client organisations.
- Actively pursues and tests the assumptions underlying delivery benefits and highlights any changes, initiating communication between stakeholders, and acting as a primary point of contact for a defined group, or groups.
- Where service is provided by an external supplier, negotiates the contract to provide the service level required, establishing problem resolution procedures and defining
**Experience**:.
- Excellent experience and skills across the Product Management life cycle. Has deep practical understanding of the activities of the employer or client and is able to demonstrate the importance of product profitability within the business. Able to effectivelycommunicate and influence stakeholders given the agreed product strategy and plan.
- Has experience of the business' customers, product portfolio and operations
- Understands the principles of business and markets and has experience of relevant business sectors. Has proven project management and leadership skills. Has a thorough knowledge of how to make and sustain a business case (the benefits that will be delivered,the investment cost and the risks involved).
- Demonstrates up to date knowledge of the organisation's business environment, culture, policy framework, organisational relationships, business processes, and reporting procedures.
- Displays good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations, demonstrates the ability to listen and influence, and to relate to customers in their own language.
