Following significant growth they are looking to strengthen their Sales team by recruiting a Business Development Manager / Sales Manager based Sheffield with regalar travel to Europe as responsible for the management of the european sales. This role will supporttheir existing customers and focus on developing new business opportunities across Europe. The Sales / Business Development Manager will report directly to the Sales Director, this a fairly autonomous role but will have the support of the internal sales andtechnical / engineering teams. Fluent German language skills are essential.
- Responsible for all aspects of Business Development for the European market ensuring new long-term relationships are created, including sales generation, quoting/estimating and on-going account development.
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients needs.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel.
- Work closely with the engineering team and other internal resources to implement solutions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.

**Essential Requirements**
- German speaker and able to travel regularly to Europe
- Demonstrable track record of success in the achievement of sales, profit and strategic objectives
- A "hands on" and highly commercial sales individual
- Mechanical / Engineering sales background, typically may have worked in an engineering role before joining the sales team
- Strong communication skills, positive and can-do personality
- Collaborative, respectful approach to working with other departments
- Ability to work as a team and on own initiative
