We are a leading manufacturing company based in Wellington, searching for a Production Planner to join the team and help ensure smooth and efficient production processes. As a Production Planner, you will play a vital role in scheduling machines, managing inventory levels, and coordinating the delivery of raw materials to ensure timely and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create production schedules and timelines to meet customer demands and optimise production efficiency
- Coordinate the timely delivery of raw materials from suppliers to production facilities
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify any potential shortages or excesses
- Work closely with delivery lead times to ensure on-time delivery of finished products
- Identify and resolve any issues that may impact production schedules and timelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline production processes and improve overall efficiency
- Continuously analyse and improve production plans to meet changing demands and market trends
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards

Key Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning or related role in the manufacturing industry
- Experience with scheduling machines and managing inventory levels
- Familiarity with delivery lead times and supply chain processes
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Methodical and systems-driven approach
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production planning software
