**The Role**

We are looking to recruit a **Tender Assistant **to work with our Proposals Team based in Bamber Bridge, Preston. Reporting to the Bid Writer, the key purpose of the role will be to provide support with administrative tasks associated with** **the preparation and submission of tender documents relating to general civil engineering and rail related work streams.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Assist in the coordination and preparation of tender submissions
- Assist with document formatting
- Gather and collate construction information and evidence from our existing libraries to support bid writing
- Assist with maintaining / updating the bid library, CVs, case studies and hub for sharing company knowledge
- Assist with maintaining / updating a Bid Writing Glossary of common business language
- Develop skills needed to prepare CVs and case study documents for tender submissions
- Develop skills to undertake bid writing tasks
- Assist with tender administration tasks such as posting and recording tender queries, tender document management and assisting with creating tender trackers during busy times

**Ideally you’ll have**:

- Hold minimum GCSEs grade 5 (or higher) in English and Maths
- Appropriate IT skills including the use Microsoft Office 365. (proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook)
- Clear, concise oral and written communications, internally and externally.
- Ability to quickly digest information.
- Time management skills.
- Be enthusiastic, proactive, flexible and adaptive in the pursuit of achieving the planned team goals.

Training will be provided to the successful applicant, this includes PowerPoint, Excel, formal writing and industry awareness. Opportunities are available for further education through apprenticeship / college.
