IT Technician Needed in Bebington, Wirral.

Hays Education are working with a secondary school in the Wirral area looking for a Mobile IT Technician for a permanent role
Your new role
The School is looking for a member of staff to fulfil the below responsibilities:
? Provide assistance and advice to staff and students as required.
? Provide technical support to academies ensuring IT systems are effective, efficient and secure.
? Day-to-day management of incidents and requests through the IT toolset responding as per the
agreed service levels.
? Develop skills and knowledge of a modern cloud based educational IT environment and gain relevant
qualifications. e.g. Google Educator programme, other relevant technical certification programmes.
The specific duties you will be asked to carry out with range from school to school, but broadly daily tasks will include:

- Hardware support including set up; diagnosing problems; simple problem solving
- Software support such as installing standalone software; configuration; providing simple software guides
- Internet support e.g. helping with the school website upkeep and design; DHCP/IP addressing; managing security and privacy settings
- Network support - adding users/ groups; programs; hardware and computers
- Responding to queries from staff and pupils; troubleshooting
- Maintaining school ICT equipment and stock

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have ICT related qualifications to at least GCSE level or equivalent. Experience of working in a school is not essential, but you will need to have either been studying, or have worked in an ICT based role within the last 2 years that we canreference. You will need to complete an enhanced DBS check prior to placement.
