We are seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual who enjoys working in a busy, multi-disciplinary department, to take up the position of MDT Co-ordinator, within the Brain Tumour Unit (BTU). You will work closely with the administration team, surgeons, radiologists, nursing and doctors to support us in the delivery of a high-quality service. An understanding of current cancer pathways would be extremely desirable. You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. Please note this role requires on site working to facilitate in person MDTs.

As an MDT co-ordinator you will be responsible for completing, but not limited to, tasks such as:
Managing MDT’s for the Brain Tumour Unit, including overseeing the waiting lists, obtaining relevant scans and reports

Accurately prepare and circulate lists of patients for discussion at each multi-disciplinary team meeting (MDT)

Attending MDT meetings keeping comprehensive records of attendance and recording discussion and outcomes of the meeting, and distributing to relevant team members. To manage systems that informs referrers and consultant colleagues of patient's treatment plans and decisions taken at MDT meetings.

Tracking target patients in a timely manner from referral to first treatment by accurately maintaining a patient tracking list. Liaise with other trusts.

To validate all treatments and pathways and work with the Cancer Targets Performance Manager on all potential breaches

To maintain awareness of and abide by all trust policies and procedures
