**Overview of the role**

Could you help our children make the best out of every day? We have a very homely detached residential setting in a quiet cul-de-sac. The team is well established and has a family vibe. Previous experience isn’t always necessary as full training will be provided.

Hours consist of earlies, lates and some weekends as part of a rotating staff team.

All staff need to be at least 22 years old to adhere to Ofsted regulations (don’t worry if you are not quite 22 - we have lots of opportunities within our adult services with options to progress to children’s at a later date).

**Job Overview**

Support Workers are the key to providing outstanding support to the young people in our care. While no two days are the same, consistency in approach is key. We are looking for staff to join a small team who support young people in their day to day lives. Our young people are very active during the day and enjoy being out and about, whether that is in the community going walking, swimming, maybe dancing the night away at the disco, or at home working on their independent living skills and in school with learning.

**Skills and Experience**:
Be compassionate and understanding.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Be flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a variety of situations.
- Be self-motivated and committed to the role.
- Hold a Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (Social Care) or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards a relevant children’s qualification.
