We are looking for an Air Freight Import Clerk to be based in our Heathrow office.

The post holder will organise and arrange Air Import shipments from start to finish including the completion of Customs declarations. You will Work in a busy airfreight environment, servicing and developing our UK and Network customer base while working to company and industry standards and regulations.

Standard working hours will be 9-5.30 Monday-Friday with a requirement to work on rotation to cover Sunday clearances which is paid overtime and normally only requires around 2-3 hours max.

Main Responsibilities

Accurately process Import job file from start to finish including invoicing and POD's

Accurately and efficiently process all types of customs declarations

Accurately organize deliveries (Groupage / Special) according to customer's requirements and deadlines

Completion of Import Customs declarations using ASM Sequoia in accordance with the appropriate regime, instructions, and regulations. HOME USE, IPR, OPR, Licences, and Carnet

Ensure all customer contact is managed in a professional and effective manner

Develop local level relationships with customers to promote Yusen’s service offerings

Escalate any issues that may potentially affect customer documentation to the Line manager in a timely manner

Main Skills/Experience

Proven Air Import experience

Significant focus on attention to detail

Strong time management skills

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, is important for the role of Air Freight Import Clerk
