Pay: £15.00 per hour
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30, Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 12:15 on Friday.
Contract: Permanent
A leading industrial racking manufacturer based in the Worcester, with the ability to design, manufacture and install bespoke storage solutions, are looking for a Welder Fabricator (Mig) to join their team on a temp - perm or permanent basis working 07:30 -16:30, Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 12:15 on Friday.
As a Welder Fabricator (Mig) you will be responsible for:

- To manually weld components to coded qualification and visual weld inspection standards. This must be done whilst achieving Takt times thus achieving productivity targets.
- Oversees welding machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load
- Load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size.
- Ensures welding is conducted to the correct specification/quality and cycle time.
- Performs work by following the company's operating standards and regulations.
- Completes required performance documentation and participates in improvement activities, including workshops.
- Regularly inspects welding machines and L.E.V units for mechanical and safety issues
- Makes sure welding machines remain well-stocked and in good order so that as few interruptions of service as possible exist
- Verifies inventory and places orders as necessary
- Examines Welding quality and output to verify the product is acceptable to move onto the next part of the production process
- Works cordially with team members and supports other areas where and when required
- To maintain an organised tidy, work area supporting the company's 5S culture
- Report any non-conformances found within the manufacturing process as per procedure
- Maintain a safe working environment by working to the code of practice as laid down in our H&S manual.
As a Welder Fabricator (Mig) you will be required to:

- Previous experience working as a Welder will be essential.
- Previous experience working with MIG Welding will be essential.
- Must be able to read technical drawings and able to work from them.
- Previous experience with other types of Welding such as TIG and ARC would be beneficial.
- Previous experience using tools would be beneficial but not essential.
- A committed and enthusiastic approach to work will be essential.
- Engage and contribute with any continuous Improvement activity
- Works a flexible schedule to keep up with production demand during busy production periods
