Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa is magnificently set in the secluded splendour of 400 acres of deer park and woodland, bordered by the calming waters of Bassenthwaite Lake and framed by the dramatic Skiddaw Mountain and Lake District Fells. As one of the original stately homes of England it is now looking for a part time (3 days a week) Grounds person /Gardener to assist with the following:

- Grass cutting and maintenance on all grassed garden and parkland.
- To maintain all planted areas of the gardens, renewing seasonal planting
- To curtail weekly growth through general weeding by hand, plus the laying of bark etc
- To maintain the growth of hedges and trees
- To be responsible for maintaining water features
- To be responsible for the re-seeding of pitches and maintaining pitches
- To be responsible for looking out for and disposing of poisonous plants
- Keep all exterior paved and tarmac areas free of leaves and debris.
- To ensure all garden furniture is clean, tidy, and stored at the end of the season.
- Assist maintenance in keeping drains and guttering clear.

**Do you have**:

- Strong knowledge of grounds keeping practices and techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools for digging, planting, and maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge to operate power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to irrigate plants and lawns using appropriate methods
- Experience in grounds keeping or landscaping preferred
