Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of **Head of Safeguarding for the Healthy Child Programme 4 Barnet** at **Barnet**. This is a** full time, permanent **role with a salary of** £72,241 (inclusive of outer London weighting)** depending on experience.

**Role Summary**

The Head of Safeguarding for the Healthy Child Programme 4 Barnet (HCP4B) 0-19 (25) service will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of safeguarding policies, procedures, and processes that promote the welfare of children and young people aged 0-19 years and adults at risk of harm. Have a highly developed specialist knowledge of safeguarding which is underpinned by theory and experience including prevention, detection, leadership and management, education and training.

Adhere to Solutions 4 Health (S4H) policies and procedures and relevant policies and procedures when working within collaborative organisations.
- Practice within the legal and ethical frameworks set out by professional codes of conduct and other relevant legislation such as Children’s act 2004; Working Together 2018; Mental Capacity Act 2005, Care Act 2014 Liberty Safeguards 2009 (Liberty Protection Safeguards - Mental Capacity Amendment Act 2019)

**Personal Specification**

The successful candiate will:

- Have experience of leading safeguarding at a senior level
- Evidence of the proactive involvement in the supervision and development of members of the multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of leading the development of programmes of care, protocols, audit and research.
- Extensive knowledge of national safeguarding policy and legislation, including the Children Acts (1989) and (2004); and the Care Act (2014).

**Required Skills/Qualifications**
- NMC Registered Nurse and Specialist Practitioner in Public Health Nursing
- Masters Degree and management qualification.
- Trained in Safeguarding Supervision or relevant experience
