We’re Cyber Security firm based in the City of London, and we are looking for a Network & Security Engineer to join our team of talented people delivering excellence to our customers.

You will be responsible for performing Networking and Security Support functions, acting as 3rd line escalation for all Network and Security related issues. You will work on both internal and customer project’s, hence the role will be customer facing. Youwill work closely with the Project Managers and other members of the Engineering team to provide Design, Implementation and on-going Support functions for our clients.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the office.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Network & Security Engineer include, but are not limited to:

- 3rd Line Support across LAN/WAN/IPT and wireless.
- Software installation and troubleshooting.
- Daily tasks involving Network and Security topologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN & VPN’s).
- Working with Network protocols (MPLS, OSPF, BGP, STP).
- To troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve customer security and networking issues.
- Escalation point for 2nd Line Engineers.
- Create and update documentation.
- Software updates and upgrades.
- Meet deadlines set by the Management team.
- Backup management and recovery.
- Maintain desktop and serves with up to date with software patches.
- Technical support and diagnostics to solve hardware/software faults.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Network & Security Engineer are:

- At least 4 years in a similar role.
- Ability to produce ‘LLD’ and ‘HLD’.
- Extensive experience in Juniper, Palo Alto & Cisco is key.
- Strong understanding of Network protocols (MPLS, OSPF, BGP, STP).
- Experience of configuring Network switches, routers, firewalls from the command line.
- Good understanding of Cyber Security risks and ability to take ownership and of associated tasks
- Strong IP Network architecture and technology experience.
- Relevant certifications and accreditations in Cyber Security and Networking
- Excellent communication skills are a MUST, both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to problem solves and take the initiative.
- Flexible and friendly approach and attitude.
- Prepared to go the ‘extra mile’ with a great work ethic.
- Team player as well as ability to work and prioritise your own workloads.
