If so, DFDS are looking for someone to join our dynamic & energetic team based in Belfast as a Transport Coordinator.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are looking for a dynamic, goal driven person to join our Dry Freight Team, mainly working Monday to Friday 7pm-3am, with flexibility to go on to other shifts as needed. The Transport Planner works as part of a small team and in line with DFDS and our customer KPI’s, to plan structured and cost-efficient delivery schedules throughout NI, ROI & the UK. A high standard of customer service, attention to detail, accurate reporting and effective communication is essential. This role will be to cover all planning desks when needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan structured collection and delivery schedules throughout NI, ROI & UK in line with DFDS key retail customer requirements
- Accurately populate and maintain ‘live planning’ information on in-house and customer systems
- Allocate trailers and drivers whilst considering cost, customer service and resource availability
- Manage subcontractors cost per mile and haulier non-compliance
- Regular tracking of vehicles
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and other key members of the team
- Vessel planning
- Support other planning areas when required as part of a cross-functional team environment
- Maintain and update customer pricing agreements

Essential Criteria..
- Experience in dealing with customers / drivers / hauliers
- Excellent IT skills especially in use of Microsoft Excel
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines & targets
- Awareness of vehicle safety legislation, EU driver hours and Working Time Regulations
- Experience in prioritising a personal workload
