Accounts Assistant (Sage Trained)

Location: Longfield

**Salary**: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in Sage accounting software.
- Prepare and process journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
- Provide support during audits and respond to audit inquiries.
- Assist with other ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned by the finance manager.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
