**Head of Commercial**, you will be helping to drive positive change across the Food Group and cultural progression focussing on not just what we do, but how we do it. You will be responsible for defining and delivering the Commercial Strategy to meet the business objectives.

As part of this role, you will:

- Partner with the Coop Group as part of the FRTS framework to ensure timely delivery of key trading initiatives
- Work with marketing as you will be responsible for co creating the customer and member plan
- Define and deliver the price and promotional strategy and forecast and manage the margin to drive profitable growth on over £660m of annual turnover
- Define and deliver the Local Sourcing/Direct Strategy, managing the end-to-end relationship that enables us to develop and grow the ‘Best of our Counties’ proposition
- Own the trading plan to drive sales and EBITA performance be that via range, space, pricing, quality and store compliance
- Actively support our Regional Community Strategy through Leadership and Personal involvement

**Job Description.**

This role is part of a team based from our Head Office in Warwick, with a mix of working from home and in the office, you will need to be able to travel into the office on certain days.

**About You**:

- Previous experience of working in a senior role with strategic trading responsibility
- Previous experience in managing commercial teams including space, ranging and buying
- Understanding and success in income generation, negotiation and partnership working
- Experience of working at a strategic level, and ability to understand external markets and competitors to influence internal change
- A Levels, Degree or equivalent level of experience
