Apprentice Operator

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Operator to work in our Logistics Team based at James Walker & Co Ltd, Cockermouth in Cumbria.

**Upon successful completion of your training your main duties of this role will include but are not limited to**:

- To upload delivery vehicles ensuring goods and any documentation is delivered in an acceptable, undamaged condition.
- To load all collection vehicles to the agreed procedure.
- To deliver and collect goods to all internal departments site wide.
- To pick finished products from various locations to fulfil customer orders.
- To check orders and have a full understanding of stock rotation.
- To pre-pack customers’ orders and ensure they are ready for despatch.
- To have a full understanding and to undertake cycle counting.
- To pre-pack/pack customer orders to the required standard ensuring advice notes & address labels are accurate and ready for despatch.
- To use the in-house computer systems.
- To ensure picked goods are correct as per the advice note.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent teamwork
- GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Mathematics
