A Bristol based charity who pride themselves on offering a top to bottom culture of supportiveness and development are seeking a Data Protection and Programme Manager to join their team.

With the ability to shoulder the responsibility of timely and compliant GDPR reporting, you will also display excellent key stakeholder skills and will play a key part in this organisation's 3 year planned transition to an Azure cloud platform, as well asa huge and exciting connectivity project.

Key responsibilities will initially include, but will not be limited to:

- Support the Chief Data Information Officer (CDIO) in creating and getting buy-in for an IS strategy, fully aligned with the organisation's strategy, that addresses and complies with organisational GDPR needs.
- Support the CDIO in creating agreed and achievable Information Security (IS) business plans in line with strategy.
- To be a key and active member of the Wider Leadership Team, influencing business values and strategy and building key relationships.
- Creating and managing key stakeholder relationships across the organisation and with the organisation's partners to underpin strong DP awareness and processes and IS change delivery.
- Being a leading member of the IS Programme Management group and taking responsibility along with the CDIO and Head of IS for delivery of the agreed IS business plan.
- Coordination of the IS change agenda, managing the IS business change plan to ensure that dependencies, priorities, and risks are managed, so that the required benefits are successfully delivered for the organisation.
- Acting as project manager, as required.
- Maintaining our compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 and evidencing through certification such as Cyber Essentials plus.
- Monitoring, processing, auditing & reporting on any Data Protection Impact Assessments or data breaches.
- Supporting the business with its Data Sharing contractual arrangements with suppliers, agencies, and commissioning authorities.
- Working with IS technical experts in monitoring, auditing, and reporting on information security compliance and security risk across information security management.
- Leading the investigation and remediation of Information Security or DP incidents across all systems, offices, and information.
- Assisting and contributing to organisational data security education and awareness training. Including Phishing simulations.
- Conduct security risk assessments with accompanying recommendations and business cases.
- Provide key contributions to the development of the security strategy for the business, in line with the wider IS strategy, including the supporting policies and processes.
- Develop and maintain information and data protection policies and processes (ROPA) to support ISMS developments across the organisation.
