An opportunity has arisen at our Darlington site for a Stock Controller to join our warehouse and logistics team. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure correct stocks are upheld on-site, allocated correctly and ensure goods in/out are correlated effectively and in a timely manner.

Working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday and reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the main duties of the role are to:

- Comply with the company Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene and Environmental regulations.
- Control outers to meet production demands and ensure no shortfalls occur.
- Control consumables stock to ensure production requirements are met.
- Control engineering stores stock, ensuring updated costs are recorded on the system.
- Manage on site waste collections and order skips etc when required.
- Monitor and replenish hand towels/soap dispensers across the site.
- Check incoming goods and where required deliver to correct department.
- Report any health, safety and hygiene issues to the appropriate manager.
- Complete paperwork as deemed necessary by warehouse supervisor.
- Undergo training as defined by warehouse supervisor.
- Full stocktaking on a regular basis to ensure counts are accurate and software system is correct and up to date.
- Liaise with production departments to correct any identified issues.
- FLT operations cover as and when required.
- Any other duties as deemed reasonable by warehouse supervisor.
- Have previous experience of managing and controlling stocks.
- Have previous manufacturing experience, preferably within a Packaging / FMCG industry.
- Have a valid FLT counterbalance licence.
- Be numerate and literate.
- Have the ability to work to achieve tight deadlines, often under some pressure, whilst being able to maintain high standards of Health and Safety, Quality and Hygiene.
- Have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Have a high skill set for organisation and time management.
- Have the ability to work on their own initiative.
- Have a positive nature with a 'can do' attitude.
- Have self-motivation and the drive and enthusiasm to contribute to the Plant’s continuous improvement process, whilst working as part of a team.
