A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Strategy and Planning Division as Deputy Head of Strategy and Planning. We are looking for someone with strong senior management experience to join us and help implement our new long-term strategy, internal planning arrangements and support us to develop our future divisional operating model.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Board, Executive Team, staff from across the organisation and a range of external stakeholders and to lead on a number of key areas of work. You will get the opportunity to innovate and be part of cutting-edge developments, such as the work we are doing to develop planning insights.

The role will be dynamic and varied but include the following key areas of responsibility:
Supporting the implementation of Public Health Wales’ long-term strategy

Leading specific aspects of our strategy implementation

Supporting the development of the Strategy and Planning Division, including increased integration across our functions and the development of new delivery models

Working across Public Health Wales’ directorates and divisions to support the development of our next Integrated Medium-Term Plan, including identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for innovation

Deputising for the Head of Strategy and Planning

Line management of staff within the Strategy and Planning Division

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
