**WHAT TO EXPECT**

Working as part of a small, dynamic team, you’ll oversee the delivering of projects that enable the most cost-effective loading of Jaguar Land Rover internal Press Lines in both the short and long-term. This involves a view of the Stamping Process that includes facility space, storage, logistics & staffing.

This role will work closely with the Lead Capacity Planner who will provide initial project scope through ‘Scenarios’ and develop these into full Projects to deliver into the Production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Identification of opportunities to optimise production performance and operating costs including cost per hit
- Leading special projects to realise the performance and cost optimisation opportunities identified
- Lead special projects related to Jaguar Land Rover capacity planning
- Interrogation and analysis of performance data
- Acting as key point of contact for emergency die relocation activities
- Establish preliminary Economic Batch Quantity (EBQs) for new programmes, before handing over to Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) and Press Shop Ops
- Contingency Planning for new programmes, ensuring the master contingency plan is up to date for all lines
- Reporting of work to various stakeholder groups from local management through to director level
- Analysis and reporting of key data for the area and development of reports
- Undertaking any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with your job as may be requested
- Planning the cessation of tools on current vehicles at end of life
- Coordinating with Press Shop facilities to ensure lessons learnt are fully captured and acted on

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**

Essential:

- Dynamic, highly driven and results orientated. Able to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with judicious vision experience within the manufacturing industry (ideally Stamping)
- Strong project management capabilities with excellent execution skills and the ability to multitask
- Experience of developing key stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience of stakeholder management
- Strong MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) skill set

Desirable:

- Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of key business management systems & processes, e.g. quality management tools & techniques
- Experience in Planning, control and scheduling
- Knowledge of how Stampings Global Manufacturing Engineering interacts with the Jaguar Land Rover business as a whole
