**About the role**:
From climate science and robotics, to drug discovery and surveying and conserving tropical rainforests, Oxford scientists are at the forefront of international research and their work has global impact. You'll join the country's most successful higher educationDevelopment team working closely with academics and researchers with an international reputation for excellence.

The role of the University's Development Office is to help secure philanthropic support for the University. You will help raise funds for cutting-edge, innovative and life-changing research, scholarships, access and outreach, and a number of key capitalprojects.

You'll also develop your skills and experience across a range of income streams, including regular giving, stewardship, legacies and major gifts.

To give you an idea of how this role will look and feel:

- You'll facilitate donations from £1,000 to £250,000, including negotiating and drafting gift letters and deeds; managing donors' financial and due diligence administration
- Assist in producing materials for prospects and projects, for example, stewardship reports, cases for support and proposals
Develop creative and compelling regular giving campaigns to engage and excite donors
- Help to create and implement donor journeys, ensuring memorable experiences

**About you**:
First and foremost, you'll have an interest in higher education and, in particular, the potential for scientific developments to impact world issues.

You'll ideally already have some fundraising, business development, alumni relations, or marketing experience. We're looking for you to be able to positively and confidently engage and build rapport, both in conversation and writing.

We'd also love to see you demonstrate the following skills and qualities:

- Think strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fundraising goals
- Be creative in producing materials, with an understanding of how to articulate projects for donors
- Able to manage, prioritise and adapt to a diverse workload, meet deadlines, and work calmly under pressure
- Be curious; eager to learn, develop skills and try new things
