**Job description**

The ILDS Grants Coordinator works closely with the ILDS Head of Operations and the Chair of the International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD) to support the work of IFD. Through the IFD, the ILDS is able to out its global health dermatology activities, specifically in low resource areas. This position is responsible for managing the ILDS and IFD grant programmes, coordinating the publishing of the Community Skin Health Journal, supporting networks and research on specific areas in dermatology (such as albinism).

**Hours of work** 35 hours per week - usual working hours are 09:00 - 17:00 Mon - Fri. Flexible working requests will be considered.

**Salary** £ 30 000 - £ 35 000 - dependent on experience
**Term** Permanent
**Location** The office is based in London. A Work From Home policy is in place and an agreement will be made with all new employees. Employees are expected to come to the office regularly in addition to staff meetings and may be requested to be present on other occasions.

**Holidays** 26 days per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata)

**Main objectives**:

- Supporting the overall work of the International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD) and collaborating with the colleagues on the strategy and impact of the IFD
- Supporting the work of various networks and groups working on a particular area within dermatology (such as albinism)
- Coordinating ILDS and IFD Grant Programmes, including DermLink and the Strategic Innovation Grant.
- Supporting the management, publishing and promotion of the Community Skin Health Journal

**Skills & Qualifications**

**Required skills**
- Relevant professional experience including: administrative skills and project management
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels.
- Strong IT skills and competencies including good knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer/Chrome.
- Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (such as Salesforce)
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines with a range of competing demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide comprehensive information with tact, clarity and attention to tone and formatting to include communication with people for whom English is a second language.
- Experience of undertaking research projects, collecting and analysing data and preparing reports

**Desired**
- Understanding of Social Media platforms and experience with publishing and/or design tools
- Relevant work experience either within or linked to the voluntary and community sector, preferably in an international organisation.
- Some experience of grants management

**More detailed job duties**

**1. Supporting the Committees, Groups and Networks**
Providing administrative support and managing the work of the group by;
- Meeting Management (in collaboration with the ILDS Virtual Assistant) - to ensure necessary documents are provided in a timely manner, the meetings are organised efficiently and minutes and reports are provided and appropriate follow up actions are taken
- Event Management - to support the Event & Meeting Coordinator when organising any related events (such as in-person IFD Committee Meetings, Albinism Summit)
- Relationships - Develop and maintain the relationship with the leadership of the group as well as other external stakeholders for the following committes, groups and networks:
i. IFD Committee - The IFD aims to improve dermatology in under-served areas of the world; to improve the care of patients with skin and sexually transmitted disease who do not have access to specialist skills and to develop financial sustainability through working with the Finance and Fundraising Committee to identify additional funding streams.
ii. Albinism - The ‘Albinism Manual for Best Practice’ was launched by Standing Voice in collaboration with the ILDS.
