TestCard, a MedTech business previously voted Scarborough Large Business of the Year, is looking for an Operations Assistant. This new role is needed due to rapid expansion and growth at our East Ayton Manufacturing, R&D, Quality and Customer Services site.

This role will help to lead on the Customer Services aspect of the business, whilst also working with the production, commercial and other operational strands of the business. Although no direct line management duties, deputisation for the Head of Operations will be required at times.

With excellent communication skills, a good understanding of maths and the ability to follow written and verbal instruction accurately; this is an ideal role for someone who is starting out in their operations journey or wanting to look at a change in career. This is primarily an office-based role, however, some home-working may be considered.

**Job Brief**

The Operations Assistant plays a key role across a number of areas within the company. They will support all aspects of operations in their work with the Head of Operations. This includes activities in the production/manufacturing site, product verification, customer services and commercial operations. Working with Quality and Regulatory assurance, supporting customer delivery and quality expectations.

You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined team. You will need to communicate effectively across the business at all levels and will be expected to maintain open internal communication. You will guide the customer operations team to respond to customer needs, feedback customer experience suggestions and report accurately and in a timely manner on all complaints.

You will be required to support all aspects of a manufacturing site, to meet objectives for production processes and performance in line with changing business needs, liaise with production output and support sales, external partners, retailers, and wholesalers.

**Responsibilities**
- Support all company operational aspects
- Deputise for aspects of the Head of Operations role
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team in delivering output from the operations department
- Aid in subcontractor, supplier and customer management, ensuring that TestCard’s requirements are fulfilled
- Provide oversight of acceptance processes of incoming materials and release processes of outgoing products
- Ensure TestCard Quality policies and procedures are carried out in line with documentation
- Liaise with the Quality assurance team in the investigation of quality events as necessary
- Collate site KPIs under the direction of the Head of Operations
- Follow quality procedures accurately
- Use correct PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Communicate aspects of operations to the business as a whole
- Maintain customer response templates and playbooks
- Provide a “voice of the customer” into the business
- Work well with others, maintaining respectful communication with colleagues and contacts outside of the company
- Other functions in support of operations, as reasonably requested by their line manager
- Read and follow company Quality policies and procedures maintain an up to date training record

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Good numeracy and computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office or GSuite preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Methodical Work practice
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Good manual dexterity and ability to assist production
- Experience in a customer facing role would be an advantage
