**Part-time Tutor for Technology, New Media and the Digital World**:
**Salary: Grade 7 (£37,099 to £44,263 per annum pro rata, depending on experience)**

**Technology, New Media and Society**

This is a final year core module on the Professional Studies degree delivered in semester 1, involving 4 hours of teaching a week, timetabled for Tuesdays 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:00. (This will be primarily face to face delivery with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous support, including 1:1 tutorials as appropriate - elements of the delivery for this support could be more flexible to fit with student and staff need and availability). It consists of a two hour workshop about the theories and research around new media, communication and the crafting of digital resources, and a 2 hour practical workshop to help students learn how to design and build a digital resource.

Teaching for a 20 credit module is paid 6.68% FTE. This equates to payment for 110 hours. This is an ongoing appointment.

**Exploring the Digital World**

This is a first year discovery module for students across the university. It is a 20 credit module delivered in semester 1. The timetable is for Thursdays from 1-3 (involving an interactive workshop - with other learning for the students involving asynchronous activities). The workshop would involve engaging students with different aspects of the digital world to prepare them to undertake critical, reflective and creative work.

Teaching for a 20 credit module is paid 6.68% FTE. This equates to payment for 110 hours. This is an ongoing appointment.
