Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the Trusts directly employed labour force to provide the day-to-day reactive service and planned maintenance works across the Trust estate.

You will be expected to have an NVQ/City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in one or more skills related to the Estates activity, proven skills & knowledge together with a multi-skilled approach to maintenance tasks.

Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not essential. The role is essentially mobile, a van, tools and equipment are provided as part of the role. The post holder will be required to participate in the emergency on-call rota (approx 1:8).

Professionally the post holder will be expected to uphold the Trust’s PRIDE values and behaviors and behave in a manner befitting the responsible position of the role and in the best interests of the patients we serve.

We are looking for enthusiastic maintenance assistants who, having gained significant experience are at the top of their profession but who are also willing to take the hands on approach on a range of duties.

Well-motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced maintenance assistants who fit the above criteria and who are looking for a rewarding career with a forward-thinking organisation would be ideal for these posts. Applicants should also have good Organisational skills and able to take the lead on specific maintenance and reactive situations. The post is critical in maintaining a safe and appropriate physical environment for our patients, visitors and staff.
