The position is within a busy social work team with an **experienced and committed** group of colleagues, supported by a highly competent Practice Supervisor and experienced Team Manager.

What will you be doing?

The role involves a range of tasks linked to social work practice in the locality including.
- Parenting assessments
- Supporting family time
- Direct work with children
- Supporting plans for children and families.
- Engaging with other agencies and partner organisations

What skills and experience do you need?
- NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent, or willing to work towards once in post (refer to job and person profile for more information).
- Experience of creating rapport and building effective relationships with families.
- Knowledge of Child Protection, child development and parenting abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent assessment and IT skills.
