On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a **Actuary - Model Validation** for a **6 Month** contract based 100% remote**.**

**Purpose of the Role**:

- Validation leads the delivery of validation activities over the Internal Model. Providing high quality advice, analysis and challenge to the outcomes of the model process, the role attends the Internal Model Governance Committee, Board Risk Committee andother relevant fora as required

**As a Actuary you will be responsible for**:

- Own the production of the Internal Model Validation report, to be presented to the Board Risk Committee and relevant Boards.
- Lead the development and maintenance of validation approaches, tools and techniques and the co-ordination of the activities of personnel to deliver required validation outputs.
- Present results of the validation process and manage/track issues raised through the validation exercise to successful resolution.
- Play a key role in the operation and development of the IM Validation framework in line with market standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop the annual IM Validation plan to ensure the IM meets stakeholder needs, the requirements for Solvency II and all existing regulation. Own, deliver and manage all key elements of the IM Validation plan as agreed by IMGC and BRC.
- Responsible for the production of validation reporting and analyses for the Risk team, BRC and other stakeholders as required.
- Build and maintain effective relationships amongst key stakeholders. In particular Risk, Capital Management / Modelling and local business units as well as Intact group colleagues as required.
- Lead production of the IM Validation and Testing documentation to ensure that it adequately meets requirements
- Qualified actuary or equivalent qualification with practical experience of working with actuarial models with strong knowledge of pricing, reserving and capital management
- Experience of Solvency II, Capital Management, credit, market, operational or business risk management, with an interest in designing, building, implementing or validating risk capital solutions within a Financial services environment
- Proven ability to develop plans and ensure they remain fit for purpose
