Ryecare has been established for over 30 years and makes a valuable contribution to the local community, getting help to residents throughout North Yorkshire in emergency situations.

We are looking for an additional team player, someone who has a reassuring and confident manner, can keep calm under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations.

Ryecare Operators handle a wide range of calls from throughout North Yorkshire. The job is varied and rewarding. Due to the type of emergency calls handled, applicants must be emotionally resilient, be able to sympathise and emphasise with customers and have the ability to ‘think on their feet’ whilst demonstrating a caring and responsible approach.

After working your shift you will really feel as though you have made a difference to the lives of others. It is important to have a “can do” attitude as it can be challenging at times. Full training and support will be provided.

**The shift pattern follows a 3 week rota and the shifts are;**

6am-2pm 2pm-10pm 10pm-6am

**The rota for this vacancy is currently**:
Week one Monday 2pm-10pm Wednesday 10pm-6am Thursday10pm-6am Sunday 2pm-10pm

Week two Monday 2pm-10pm Wednesday 10pm-6am Thursday 10pm-6am

Week three Wednesday 2pm-10pm Thursday 2pm-10pm Friday 2pm-10pm

The successful applicant will be required to work on a shift basis which will include bank holidays, nights and weekend work.

Additional Payment of £30 per weekend shift and £44 per night shift will also be payable

The call centre operates every day 24/7, 365 days a year.

Applicants must be good decision makers and be able to prioritise their work load. It is imperative that you are able to work on your own initiative within a framework of identified procedures and protocols.

An enhanced DBS is required for this post.
