**Head of Projects - Job Summary**:
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Basildon, who are looking for a Head of Projects to join their growing team. The successful Head of Projects will have experience of managing multiple projects within the automotive manufacturing environment whilst leading a team of Project Engineers.

**Salary**: £50,000 - £70,000

Benefits: company car / 10% annual bonus / 25 + stats holidays

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily management of a team of 4 project engineers.
- Reporting project progress and delivery to company directors.
- Liaising cross functionally with other departments to plan and allocate resource.
- Ensuring adherence to APQP process for all projects through weekly meetings with engineering and quality.
- Communicating with customer contacts at a variety of levels to report project progress and or provide resolution to issues.
- Directly managing several projects including well known automotive OEMS
- Investigating product faults and providing engineering resolution to mature products to an acceptable level.
- Organising the production of pre-series components with the company’s production and manufacturing teams.
- Supporting customers onsite at plant to review the fitment of products.
- Providing engineering support and technical knowledge on manufacturing processes and their capabilities.
- Acting as a route of escalation when supplier or customer issues may arise.
- Ensuring that project deliverables are fulfilled so that PPAP packages are complete and customer PSW can be achieved on time and on budget.
