Are you passionate about mental health nursing? Would you like to work for a service provider with an outstanding CQC rating? An exciting opportunity has arisen for Nursing Assistants on Stephenson, a 7 bedded medium secure CYPS ward based at Ferndene Hospital, Prudhoe.

The post holder will support Nursing Team and Young people in our care. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting patient centred needs based care.

You will provide excellent professional, skilled and effective person centred, nursing care.

You will be actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff, service users, families and carers.

You will be visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective safe and caring services. You will provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, mutual respect and dignity.

The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and will be part of the assessment of care needs, risk assessment, formulation & implementation of care plans that are meaningful to our Patients.

To meet the holistic needs of our patient group you will be encouraged and supported to develop into our link and champion role for areas such as the Triangle of Care, Talk First Initiative, and Infection Prevention, Physical health promotion /monitoring and reducing restrictive practice as well as others.

You will possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills, be motivated to engage and adapt to the fast changing patient group & ward environment. You must be keen to develop your skills & actively participate in the ongoing development of our service.
