This role will involve working from home combined with time in our Birmingham office one or two days per week.

**Role Overview**:
The Delegated Authority team is responsible for setting, implementing and monitoring adherence to the overarching governance framework within regulatory and broader Group requirements. You’ll be working within the wider Claims Strategy & Customer Experience team.

The team interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, ultimately supporting and driving governance. The working environment can be dynamic and complex, with responsibilities being broad and varied, including areas such as; due diligence, compliance, conduct management, contract governance, audit and breach management.

The Delegated Authorities Officer will support the Delegated Authorities Team Leader in delivering the control framework for delegated authority arrangements. This role will primarily focus on the planning, scoping, coordination and delivery of the delegated authorities end to end processes. The role involves regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders. The role will also include the creation and maintenance of MI and the implementation reporting mechanisms.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support with the set-up, monitoring and closing of our delegated authority arrangements in line with governance measures
- Coordinate the processing of bordereaux payments
- Follow up audit recommendations, working directly with individual DA schemes
- Assist with the specification and development of new schemes
- Conduct regular relationship meetings with DA schemes - driving compliance and improvement.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Good organisational and time management skills along with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise accordingly
- Good problem solving and decision making skills with an analytical mind set
- Ability to be persuasive and respond objectively when challenged
- Excellent attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and relay information to a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent relationship management skills
- IT literate with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and the ability to interpret Excel reports.
