Youth worker - 2.5 hours for girls group and 3 hours for boys youth group. We would consider applicants for both roles or just one.

**Main Purpose of Role**

To be responsible for supporting youth club sessions - Girls Youth Group Thursday Evenings and Boys Youth Group Friday Evenings and including supporting the delivery of specific programmes of activities/ projects for and with young people.

Occasional weekend work will be required for trips/outings and activities.

**The main objective is**:
Support the smooth running of the Girls and Boys Youth Club.

Provide support to the Youth Leader in terms of planning and delivering of youth activities

Ensure continuity for young people by covering for sickness, holidays or to support events and activities.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**

**Youth Activities**
- To establish contact and build sustainable working relationships with young people to encourage and motivate their participation in the youth club.
- To support the planning and delivery of agreed programmes of activities/programmes with young people which is active and fun as approved by the Project Manager.
- To support the development of specific programmes of youth work aimed at promoting and ensuring the personal and social educational needs of young people are identified and met.
- To ensure activities are set up prior to sessions starting and cleared away after sessions finish
- To provide administration and supervision of young people during football training and practice.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other relevant agencies involved in the provision of services to support young people. Assist in liaising with community groups and external organisations when required to raise awareness of Youth Work provision within the local areas of Banbury.
- To take responsibility for the health and safety of young people, for the safeguarding of premises, furnishings and equipment, and also for the collection and recording of monies received in accordance with guidelines and instructions where appropriate.
- To attend supervision meetings and annual appraisals and to contribute to staff meetings and training courses as required

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12.42 per hour
