**The Role**:
As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of young people who require social, emotional, and mental health support. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing day-to-day care and support to young people.
Assisting in daily routines to ensure their well-being.
Encouraging engagement with educational support and homework.
Organising and participating in recreational activities.
Creating a safe and welcoming environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Build strong relationships with the young people, promoting trust and emotional well-being.
Empower and motivate them to achieve their goals and overcome challenges.
Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
**What you’ll bring**:
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives.
A willingness to work towards or current qualification in QCF level 3 in Residential Childcare.
Previous experience working with children or young people is a plus but not mandatory.
Resilience to be able to deal with challenging situations.
Positive role model - honesty and empathy are a must.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

**Please note**:
Ofsted regulations outline that support workers working with children and young people must be 3 years older than the oldest young person within the home e.g., if a young person in the home was turning 18, you would need to be 21 at a minimum.
