**Job description**
**We are looking for a proactive and friendly HR advisor to join our friendly team based in Bournemouth. We are a growing business, who work with a variety of different clients on a wide range of different HR related matters.**
**About Us**
The HR Dept provides outsourced HR support to a range of businesses throughout Bournemouth, Poole, East Dorset and The New Forest.
Our clients operate in various business sectors including financial services, manufacturing/engineering, technology, property, professional services and not for profit. This means there is plenty of variety in the types of advice we give to clients.
**Purpose of the role**
The HR Advisor is the first point of contact for HR Dept clients. You will be responsible for providing high quality and commercial HR advice and support to clients and navigating through HR processes to provide solutions to people problems. You will also be responsible for undertaking client project work as required. There is an opportunity to progress professionally through the experience gained.
**Main responsibilities**:
- First point of contact for the HR Advice Line service for our clients, ensuring accurate, timely and commercial HR advice and support.
- Advising and managing on behalf of clients’ disciplinary issues, employee grievances, performance management, redundancies and TUPE.
- Creating and issuing documents that supports the specialist advice provided to clients.
- Providing HR administrative support to clients.
- Support clients with online personnel system management.
- Attending formal meetings on behalf of clients.
- Supporting and delivering training to clients, helping to develop and prepare training materials.
- Creating and updating client policies, procedures, and handbooks to ensure compliance with employment law and good HR practice.
- Must have demonstrable experience in a HR related role.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
- Solid attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law.
- HR experience over various business sectors is desirable.
- Commercially aware of the needs of small businesses.
- Good MS Office skills - Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
**Location and Working Hours**:
- Mon - Fri 8.30 - 17:00
- 4 days - Office based - Bournemouth
- 1 day - Work from home
**Salary and Other Benefits**:
- £27,000 - £29,000 per annum DOE.
