Marlborough, United Kingdom Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Full time

If you would like to find more enjoyment, development, and flexibility at work, we could be the team you’re looking for...

If you’re reading this advert you may be appraising the last couple of years and mulling over thoughts about your future life and career. And what a year it has been with NHS staff working through unprecedented times; many people have been challenged to reappraise priorities and what is most important to them.

In our BSW (Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire) CAMHS service we are proud to be developing a needs-led, responsive and accessible service based on the i-Thrive model.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Systemic Family Therapist to work in our 'Getting More Help' and discretely embedded 'The Eating Disorders Service' aka TEDS. This role involves working with young people experiencing a wide variety of mental health difficulties often in association with complex social issues or neuro-diverse challenges. The role will include undertaking the assessment of the young person's mental health needs, collaborative formulation and providing the treatment plan drawing on a variety of interventions that may involve multi-agency networking where necessary. You will set up a family therapy clinic to offer systemic interventions for cases held and coordinated by your colleagues and you will offer systemic consultation across a wide network of CAMHS and other agencies.

The role of systemic family therapist in accordance with the iThrive model is located predominantly within the ‘Getting More Help’ pathway and offers the opportunity to make second order change, enhancing the life trajectory of many young people, their family/carers who come to our service. Within TEDS you will be well supported by your colleagues to offer assessment and systemic treatment in accordance with Maudsley guidelines, which also offers the opportunity for multi-family therapy work.

You would work alongside your team colleagues and in collaboration with other agencies and support networks. This is an opportunity for you to come to our service and develop your role to provide a family therapy clinic, bringing development opportunities for our staff and our professional colleagues working in other agencies. Our service would benefit from a systemic family therapist with aspirations and a vision that promotes the profession and systemic thinking at the first point of contact.

We embody the importance of staff wellbeing in our practice, and this is why we are interested to get to know you as a person and hear what you would like from your job. Working from home is a component part of our business and enables flexible working to be a viable option.

We have good professional support in our service and regular professional regional meetings. Within our core CAMHS we also host LD CAMHS, a Neurodevelopmental Clinic and The Eating Disorder Service. The service works closely and is augmented with a crisis team, helpline up until 11pm and a team of colleagues who work tirelessly to provide a year round 24/7 service.

When we are not working from home, we are based in the tranquil setting of a nice community hospital next door to the Savernake forest, which is a fabulous place to walk and get some headspace. The vibrant market town of Marlborough is only a short walk and provides a wealth of shopping opportunities and a strong sense of community. The town and surrounding countryside are a beautiful and safe place to live.

Benefits of working for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust include:

- Excellent opportunities for career progression
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an increase to 33 days with continuous service
- NHS Discount across a wide range of shops, restaurants and retailers
- Staff accommodation
- Competitive pension scheme
- Lease car scheme
- Cycle to work scheme

You will be supported by the generosity of excellent team knowledge and experience on both a formal and informal basis. Clinical and managerial supervision are augmented with profession specific supervision as required with systemic and psychodynamic opportunities. We also benefit from regular team safeguarding supervision. You will do your mandatory training and there will be occasions to benefit from CPD training as it becomes available. This service is investing heavily in training, preceptorships to develop staff skills and career opportunities. We have a thorough induction process, and you will be paired with other new starters as you begin to find your feet in your role.

**Please note**:

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
- Oxford Health is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vuln
