**Allstaff Recruitment** are currently seeking a **Payroll Officer **based in **Kempston** for a reputable professional organisation.

**Salary**: £14.41 per hour
**Location**: Kempston
**Type of Contract**: Contract up to 6 months
**Hours**: 20 hours a week over 5 days

As the **Payroll Officer,** your role will involve the following important duties:

- Advise and review working methods and controls relating to all payroll practices.
- Interpret and advise on NJC, Local Government Association, DWP and HMRC.
- Undertake complex calculations and collate information.
- Review and process additional hours, overtime, expenses and more.
- Investigate and resolve pay issues as they arise.
- Complex pay calculations and routine pay claims.
- High-volume data entry and manipulation.

As a successful **Payroll Officer,** you will have the following:

- In-depth experience of interpreting HRMC regulations & providing advice to employees and managers is essential.
- AAT qualified or working towards.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and report on data.
- Working knowledge of statutory payments and deductions and relevant HMRC-related legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of complex numerical calculations.
