**About Our Client**:
Page Personnel Logistics have partnered with a leading UK FMCG business in their search for a Transport Planner. This role will play a critical part in this organisations operation helping to optimise and utilise each vehicle's delivery.

The Transport Planner role will require the individual to:

- Planning vehicles efficiently using a transport planning software.
- Planning routes in a optimised and efficient manner
- Ensuring that time windows and delivery timings are adhered to
- Managing and planning of emergency orders
- Liaising with Customer Services and Account management teams for service related queries
- Monitoring & managing information from the vehicle telematics system.
- Supporting the transport manager with route optimisation in relation to VOR and vehicle related issues
- Ensuring customer demand is met by proactively managing driver resource Vs vehicle requirements.
- Briefing and debriefing drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned.
- Responding promptly to route feedback and ensuring improvement opportunities are acted upon
- Ensuring all key vehicle information is kept up to date on the system relating to delivery points.
- Making sure that operational procedures and general housekeeping are kept to a high standard.
- Supporting the Transport Manager with other requirements as needed
- Providing daily/weekly and monthly KPI reports for the Transport Manager and Depot Manager

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Previous experience of any Transport Planning Software such as Paragon, DiPS and other bespoke systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Real team player who thrives in a fast-paced, busy, and challenging environment.
- Previous experience of working within a transport planning department is essential
- Highly organised with proven ability to plan and prioritise your workload and work calmly and methodically in a busy environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, notably Excel with strong attention to detail.
- Be results driven and commercially minded - Essential
- Be commutable to Didcot

- Salary range between - £30,000 to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
