Finance Manager

**Finance Manager, Cambridge (hybrid), £35,000 - £45,000**

A growing charity who do excellent work, based near Waterbeach, are looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation who do great work for the community and will suit someone looking for morethan a job.

You will manage two people and report to the Chief Executive with support from the board and trustees. This is a full-time role but we may be able to consider applicants looking for 4 days per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for a team of two finance assistants responsible for receiving and processing all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment:

- Resolve any financial queries from staff, trustees, companions and suppliers
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Prepare payroll figures and report and settle taxes due to HMRC
- Subsidiary - record transactions, reconcile with parent company
- Manage and process gift aid, grant and legacy income
- Ad-hoc/annual - responsible for collating and maintaining:

- Year-end accounts - collate information and liaise with auditors, update Charity Commission and Companies House
- Accounting software & EPOS - update licences, user details
- Bank accounts - update with such as trustee changes
- Budget preparation

**Requirements**:

- Experienced Accountant.
- Management experience.
- AAT, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified.
- Proven communication and influencing skills with the ability to confidently communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, able to dela with large and complex calculations.
- Good knowledge and understanding of finance systems and IT.
