Caretaker

**Community Centre Assistant - TEMP UP TO 2 MONTHS**
**Part Time - 4pm-8:15pm, Monday-Friday**
**Limelight, Old Trafford, Manchester**
**£12.10 Per Hour + Holiday Pay**

To provide operational support to the day to day running of the community centres, including health and safety and customer support. Provide a professional, inclusive and customer focused service to users of the community centres.

**Duties include but not limited to**:

- Provide excellent Customer Support to users of community Centres.
- To ensure Centres are set up correctly in advance of bookings. Making sure the centre is clean and well-presented.
- Ensure hirers clear away at the end of a booking and leave the room ready for next user
- Where relevant maintain schedules and records of building maintenance. Reporting maintenance or repairs issues to the relevant team
- Carry out health and safety checks and maintain appropriate records.
- Take responsibility for opening and closing the building when directed including evenings and weekends as required
- Inspect community centres in accordance with procedures, maintain all associated registers and records and ensure all actions identified are rectified
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues and teams, residents and user groups to ensure effective, efficient and customer focussed delivery of services relating to the centres
- Work with Foundation colleagues to ensure that centres are marketed effectively and promote the centre to potential hirers used by new
- Provide technical support to room users, offering advice on how to use the equipment provided and troubleshooting where necessary
- Collaborate with a diverse range of external stakeholders to maximise income produced by the centre through the provision of projects and activities that respond to local needs
- To provide customer support to users group and hirers to ensure centres provide a good experience for users and use customer feedback to improve services provided

**Skills**:

- Able to demonstrate experience of delivering customer focused services in a demanding, public facing environment
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience in a ‘caretaking’ type role
- Great customer service skills
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage a demanding workload
