Job Role

The purpose of the payroll and pensions role will be to take responsibility to ensure the pension administration requirements for the workforce are met. In addition you will work closely with and provide cover for the Payroll Lead. The role therefore requires good sound knowledge of pension contributions and payroll processing.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibility for all pension administration throughout the organisation.

Complete monthly pension submissions for Pensions and complete Pensions annual updates.

Deal with Pension queries and provide cover for the Payroll Lead and be able to process the monthly payroll in their absence.

Pension & payroll control account reconciliations, including preparing and posting payroll journals.

Payroll processing

Work with other departments, including HR, Rota & Projects.

Make improvements to processes to help drive efficiency's.

Provide support to other finance tasks as required, including accounts payable and the month end close.

**Skills**:
In order to succeed in this role, you should have previous experience working within pension and payroll sector. A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and develop within the role. You will need to possess good IT skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships.Confident working on your own, whilst also being a valued member of the team supporting your colleagues to achieve business and personal goals.

It is essential that you have a minimum grade C in GCSE English and GCSE Maths and have previous experience in payroll and pension processing.

Salary & Benefits

Up to 29-30k depending on experience plus progression opportunities
