**Role : Grants Fundraiser**
**Hours : 35 hours per week**
**Location : Hybrid (home or office based in Croydon)**
**Salary : £30,000 per annum**
**Reports to: Grants Manager**
Now is an exciting time to be joining United Response, as we put our long-term plan into action, and create innovative new ways of working through networks of support rooted in local communities.
This exciting role will help us to deliver this change by increasing our Trust and Grant Fundraising capacity, delivering additional funding to benefit the people we support across the organisation.
**Purpose of Role**:
To secure funding from a range of grant-making funders to enable United Response to design and deliver innovative projects that support service provision around the country.
**Project development**
- ** To work with colleagues across the organisation to lead, initialise, develop and progress projects which are aligned to organisational objectives and corporate strategy.**:
- ** To support all aspects of the fundraising strategy relating to grant-making funders.**:
- ** To prioritise projects which best meet the organisation’s aim because of a strong strategic fit, good prospects for sustainability and/or replication, a close alignment with other existing projects or other reasons.**:
- ** To work closely with other colleagues, particularly the business development team, and Area and Service Managers to consult on and support the design and on-going development of projects.**
**Bid writing**
**Grant and donor management**
- ** To be responsible for the establishment of any grants you have successfully delivered, including practical support for the Project Manager.**:
- ** To keep effective records of the grant progress, including on Donorfy, the fundraising database, and to work with Finance Department and the Project Manager to ensure that payments are received and recorded accurately.**:
- ** To support United Response’s internal grants programme and promoting it internally.**:
- Steward relationships with all funders, ensuring that all donations are acknowledged, and reporting completed in a timely manner.
**Horizon scanning and developing new opportunities**
- ** To proactively investigate new funding opportunities using a mixture of online and print publications as well as your own networks to understand which funding strands may be applicable to our work.**:
- ** To engage in consultations where appropriate to ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are not overlooked when new opportunities are being developed.**:
- ** To take an active interest in sector developments in order to understand how changes affect the funding landscape.**

- ** To work with all members of the fundraising team to ensure that the fundraising database is accurate and up-to-date.**:
- Contribute to regular team meetings and organisational priorities.
- ** To work as part of the Fundraising team, sharing your own knowledge and learning from others.**:
- ** To develop good working relationships with other colleagues across the organisation and potential partners seeking out opportunities to work collaboratively wherever possible.**:
- **To represent United Response and the Fundraising team both internally and externally where appropriate.**:
