Job Title: Database Engineer
Job Purpose:
Main Responsibilities and Objectives:
Responsibilities & Objectives
- You will have experience in SQL, ETL, AWS Data Lake, data warehousing, Redshift, all being heavily based upon AWS in the cloud.
- This is an ideal opportunity for the Data Engineer to be able to expand their knowledge within new areas and technologies.
- Key skills and experience with SQL and programming/ scripting languages are essential. Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimise BI, statistical efficiency and quality.
- The BI architectures will mainly be AWS based so you must have experience with AWS/Azure/GCP as a platform and its associated services
Must have skills
- Data Analysis/Database Design
- Strong SQL experience including functions and stored procedures
- Hands on experience within data warehousing
- AWS BI cloud experience with a demonstrable knowledge of designing and building an AWS data lake
- Integration experience with proven ETL knowledge on how to extract data from multiple data sources into a centralised data warehouse including hands on experience on using technologies such as AWS Glue or similar.
- MySQL/ MS SQL Desirable Skills
- Experience of working within an Agile methodology
- Working knowledge of integrating SQL queries with REACT, GraphQL or similar technologies.
