**About the role**:
Managing a busy operations centre for a, Ultra High Net Worth residential community. With all facets of security management as a priority, the position also requires systems management ability.
The OC manager will develop a team of OC Operators responsible for 24/7/365 monitoring of threats, as well as the tools and processes that support the core mission of defending the organization against physical and technical security threats. The OC Managercoordinates 24x7 staffing to support mission-critical operations, including incident response.
The OC Manager reports to the Director of Security, and collaborates closely with the security team, and other internal and client stakeholders to empower the business and continuously enhance the security posture of the community. The role holder will needto be within 45 minutes commute from the centre.
**Responsibilities**
Lead, plan, direct, and manage day-to-day activities across the Security Operations Center as well as high-tempo, high-visibility incident response efforts.
Hire and develop the OC team
Manage and enhance the tools, tactics, and techniques used within the OC. Lead and work with executive stakeholders in the assessment, architecture and implementation of security technologies.
Develop staff of varying skill levels on both technical security competencies/expertise and personal development.
Oversee the Vendor Management program and entry of residents, members, guest, employees and vendors into the community.
Participate in internal assessments and tabletop exercises, and other activities that contribute to operational readiness.
Benchmark and implement industry best practices to detect and mitigate potential threats.
Ensure platforms and processes are in compliance with all corporate and regulatory standards and requirements.
Lead the OC team in a fast-paced environment, while exercising composure, professionalism and teamwork during incidents. Support and oversee incident response activities as the most senior escalation point on the OC team. Exercise discretion and confidentialitywhen performing investigations.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Ensuring daily management, administration & maintenance of security devices to achieve operational effectiveness.
Drive implementation and improvement of new tools, capabilities, frameworks, and methodologies across the OC.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Security or Information Technology.
Three (3) years in a management role leading a technical team.
Experience with Enterprise VMS Systems (Genetec Preferred.)
Previous experience working in an Operations Center in an enterprise environment.
Degree in Information Technology, Security Management, Intelligence Analysis, or equivalent experience.
Strong leadership, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritise and execute autonomously.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management, and clients both orally and in writing.
Ability to collaborate across the organisation and operate effectively with multiple teams and solutions towards a shared goal.
Strong understanding of latest security principles and protocols.
Strong understanding of security operations technologies.
Understanding of tactics, techniques and procedures associated with threats and the ability to develop relevant alerting, countermeasures, and threat hunting techniques.
Experience in managing multi-faceted loss prevention or intrusion analysis incident reporting.
Formal security certifications / management qualification as a result of courses from accredited professional security bodies (Ex-military or police experience welcomed)

**Salary**: c. £45,000 per annum
