A specialist seafood wholesale business in London are looking for a Sales Admin/Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is a role in a dynamic, fast-growing wholesale company whose customers are some of the finest/ high-end restaurants and hotels

**Working Hours**: 4.30am - 12.30pm

**Place of Work**: Billingsgate Market

**Salary**: £25,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience)

**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the daily purchasing and delivery of full range of seafood products (live, fresh, frozen, cured, wild and farmed) from UK and foreign suppliers
- Reviewing sales reports and pre-orders to see what have been sold and pre-sold
- Reviewing and maintaining adequate stock levels to fulfil current and future orders, whilst minimising wastage
- Making quick and accurate decisions on quantity of products to order
- Inputting supplier orders in the system Liaising with Goods In manager, informing suppliers of any discrepancy regarding price, quality, specification or quantity received vs quantity invoiced
- Checking delivery notes and invoices
- Processing and chasing suppliers for credit notes
- Liaising with sales team for special orders, forward orders, and special product requests
- Liaising with Brixham depot regarding wild fish orders and market prices Assisting and reporting to Purchasing Manager
- Similar procurement or warehousing role in perishable foodservice company with turnover in excess of £5m Knowledge of seafood products and suppliers
- High level of numeracy
- Good grasp of Excel.
- Use of Microsoft Navision, Sage or similar operating system in relation to purchase orders and stock
- Fast and accurate data processing and decision-making
- Negotiation skills
- Developing relationships with suppliers
- Getting the best out of suppliers and ensuring the highest standards of quality and specification
- Working calmly under pressure to deadlines.
