Overview:
Transport Scotland is the national transport agency, seeking to deliver a safe, efficient, cost-effective and sustainable transport system for the benefit of the people of Scotland. Transport Scotland is accountable to Parliament and the public through Scottish Ministers, with a budget of around £3.5 billion per year. Transport is a vital feature of the Scottish Government's focus on increasing sustainable economic growth, and transport investments and policies have major impacts on the economy, people, and the environment.

**Our Summer Placements are for a period of up to 12 weeks.**

**Responsibilities**:
The main duties will involve supporting a team of existing chartered technical professionals engaged on delivering Transport Scotland’s business plan on behalf of Scottish Government over the 12 week summer placement.

Essential Criteria & Qualifications:
**Essential Criteria**

1. You must demonstrate good communication skills in plain and concise written English.

2. You should demonstrate that they have experience of working effectively in a team environment.

3. You should demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.

**Minimum Time in Post**
- This is a 12 week placement.

**Location**
- This post is based in Glasgow with hybrid working in line with current Transport Scotland policies. You will be expected to be office based twice per week, pro rata.
