**Overview**:
In this specialist trainer role, you will confidently support a wide range of learners within Adult Social Care with current and future client-based systems, advising, teaching and guiding them within small groups in a classroom or remote environment.

This is a key area of social care support, and successful applicants will be working within a positive and supportive service, committed to raising standards and delivering high-quality services for the citizens of Buckinghamshire. You will work effectively with colleagues to ensure all digital case management recording complies with statutory and local requirements.

**Contract: 12 months fixed term contract/secondment opportunity**

We are looking for a person, who is passionate about supporting and developing others.
- Deliver social care ICT-related training and use various teaching methods to suit individual learners
- Assess individual training needs during training events to ensure tailored delivery
- Create documents, forms, correspondence and other training and learning materials as required
- Collect, enter, process and analyse information and compile reports using systems
- Quality check documents, materials and recommendations
- Design and review training programmes and modules
- Organise and develop/obtain training procedure manuals, guides and course materials
- Offer specific training programmes to help workers maintain or improve job skills
- Attend meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programmes, or to inform management of ICT training programmes
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, and/or consultation with managers, instructors or customer representatives
- Keep up to date with developments in training
- Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
- Foster close relationships with operational teams in Adult Social Care to understand their processes and reflect in the training courses we provide.

As part of our council wide work smart programme, this role has been categorised as ‘Any-Desk’

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

**About you**:
You will need to demonstrate the following confidently and effectively:

- Level 2 qualification in English & Mathematics
- Relevant experience within this service area, with evidence of appropriate specialist knowledge
- Previous experience in teaching groups of individuals
- Understanding of Adult Social Care and the services provided
- Experience of using social care IT systems such Liquid Logic, AIS
- Supporting improvements within the service area through recommending improvements in procedures/processes
- Previous involvement within a quality or continuous improvement programme, as part of service delivery
- Implement and deliver a defined programme/range of activities within a specified timescale
- Ability to assess, monitor and review individual learners and/or programmes to identify and improve their effectiveness
- Logical and systematic approach to tasks with close attention to detail.

Ability to travel across the county for training delivery is essential.
